Workout in Waikiki: Active Adventures for the New Year

Is your new year's resolution to exercise more? We've got some fun, blood-pumping ideas to keep your body moving in paradise without even realizing it. Try these sun, sand, and surf activities to stay on track with your goals, even while on vacation.

Paddleboard with Turtles
Test your balance on a stand-up paddleboard as you float and swim with Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles, octopuses, and urchins. Book your tour with the experts at Honolulu Surf Club, located steps away from Embassy Suites.

Learn to Surf
Book a lesson with the knowledgeable beach boys at Big Wave Dave Surf & Coffee, located in our lobby. They'll teach you the sport, as well as provide insights on Hawaiian culture and ocean safety.

Activities at Embassy Suites Waikiki

Reset with Sunrise Yoga
Greet the day with a complimentary poolside class for Embassy Suites guests offered on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on the Grand Lanai. Just sign up at the front desk!

Dance Hula
In this free class at Waikiki Beach Walk, learn about oli (Hawaiian chants), basic hula steps, and their meanings, as well as choreography to a Hawaiian song. Sign up for the weekly Sunday morning session here

Snorkel & Sail
Take a Holokai Catamaran sail to Turtle Canyon where you'll snorkel with Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles, tropical fish, and other incredible marine life. Keep your eyes out for dolphins and humpback whales on the sail back to shore!

Pool at Embassy Suites Waikiki

Play Marco Polo
The whole family can join in on the fun of this classic game in our heated outdoor pool with a separate children's pool. Or you could watch the action from a poolside private cabana…

Walk the Beach
Did you know that Waikiki Beach is about 2 miles long? Power walk or jog on the golden sand (versus the sidewalk) for an extra calorie-burning, muscle-building challenge. Plus, the scenery isn't too shabby!

Bike to Diamond Head
Rent a Biki bicycle and peddle to Diamond Head, the iconic volcanic crater, for a 0.8-mile hike to the summit. From here, you'll be rewarded with stunning views of Waikiki. Heads-up: you'll need to make a reservation for access.
