Spring Break Preview: New Must-Do Family Adventures in Waikiki

There is always something new and exciting popping-up on O‘ahu. If it's been a while since your family's last visit to Embassy Suites Waikiki, take note of these fresh activities and just-launched eateries that you'll want to discover together.

Take a Kids SUP Yoga Class
For a balance challenge in the calm, shallow waters of Waikiki, sign your kids up for a yoga class or camp on a stand-up paddle board! Specially designed for children and tweens, the sessions include themed yoga moves, SUP games, and water safety instruction.

Go Whale Watching
Now through May is the ideal time to get up-close to humpback whales visiting Hawai‘i's warm waters during their annual migration. Book a whale watch catamaran sail to see these gentle giants spout and breech.

Curate a Picnic from Waikiki Market
Waikiki Market, Waikiki's only full-service grocery store has just opened, and with all the fan-favorite local flavors to boot! Stock up on passion-orange-guava juice, poke bowls, plate lunch, and sweet malasada donuts to take to the beach for the ultimate meal-on-the-sand.

Meet the New Octopus
Waikiki Aquarium has a new resident – an octopus who is a master at camouflage. Plan a visit to say ‘aloha' and see if you can spot it. Plus, Embassy Suite Waikiki guests receive complimentary youth entrance per paid adult ($5.00 value)!

Get Hands-On at Bishop Museum
"Backyard Adventures" is a new interactive science exhibit at Bishop Museum, open now through August 20, 2023. Kids cans explore the world from the perspective of a bee, take a walk through a digital garden to see plants growing in super time, and investigate the creatures that only come out once they're tucked into bed.

Munch Musubi at a New Food Hall
Reminiscent of Tokyo's Tsukiji Market, STIX ASIA is opening this month with 17 food vendors serving up everything from noodle soups to green tea parfaits, to irresistible crispy tempura, and kid-favorite rice musubi, too.
