What To Do in Waikiki
Simeon Miranda, General Manager
"My favorite outdoor summer activity in Waikiki is spending time at Kaimana Beach and watching the sunset. If you're there on a Friday night, you can also catch the fireworks once it gets dark—it's a great way to end the evening. Tip: Occasionally, monk seals may be resting on the beach, so be sure to give them plenty of space and enjoy from a distance."
"For guests who have visited Waikiki a few times, I recommend exploring the area by renting a Biki Bike. You can ride along Kalakaua Avenue to Kapiolani Park, continue around Diamond Head, and finish near Saratoga Road. One of the best parts is that you can stop along the way—there are plenty of Biki stations where you can take a break."
Ethan Kimura, Food & Beverage Supervisor
"One of my favorite spots near Waikiki is Oh My Grill. I keep it simple with a teri-burger but the fan-favorite is probably their chicken katsu. Another great spot is Kapa Hale, the koji aged beef and smoked dip are my go-tos."
"If you've been to Waikiki before and are looking for something new, I'd recommend you venture out a little and visit some of the bars and restaurants around Chinatown. Some of my recommendations that are well worth the short trip would be: Fête, Olay's Thai Lao Cuisine, O'Kims, Podmore, Skull & Crown Trading Co., Bar Leather Apron, and Pigeonhole."
Mason Kia, Guest Services Manager
"I love playing beach volleyball at Queens Beach, Fort DeRussy Beach Park, or grass volleyball at Kapiolani Park. If you enjoy volleyball, there are meet-ups open to the public with multiple courts that allow for different competitive levels of play. The locals are more than welcoming to visitors who share the same passion for this island-wide sport."
"Go skydiving, parasailing, or swim with the sharks!"

"Surfing in Waikiki during the summer is my go-to activity! The South Shore swell is at its best this time of year. I recommend booking a lesson or renting a board from Moku Surf Shop, then heading out to Canoes surf break for a great experience on the water."
"Island Vintage at Royal Hawaiian Center is a great spot for coffee and açaí bowls. My go-to order is the Hawaiian Honey Latte and their Lilikoi Moana Açaí Bowl."
