5 Tips for Making Family Travel a Breeze in Waikiki

Traveling with little ones is hard! The change in routine, time zone and environment can all throw us for a loop! But, with the right accommodations, amenities and hospitality, Embassy Suites Waikiki eases the stress, so parents can enjoy their vacation, too. Plus, we're only steps from the sand, so short legs can walk (or run!) to Waikiki Beach. Follow our advice below for ensuring your Waikiki getaway is easy-breezy and fun for the whole family!

Tip #1: Spread Out in a Suite
All the rooms at Embassy Suites Waikiki are suites with a separate living area giving you enough space to relax comfortably. Choose the perfect bed configuration for your family with one- and two-bedroom suite options with sleeper sofas and your choice of one King bed or two Queen beds. You'll also love the mini kitchen with refrigerator and microwave to stash snacks or whip up a quick meal.

Tip #2: Greet the Day with Ease
Don't worry, Mom! We've got breakfast handled. Complimentary breakfast is served daily and includes all your family breakfast favorites like pancakes, pastries and fresh island fruits. But, the fan favorite is the made-to-order omelet bar where you can customize your eggs. It's a win-win when everyone gets what they want.

Tip #3: Chill in a Cabana
With a heated outdoor pool, shallow children's pool and hot tub, kiddos can't get enough playtime on our Grand Lanai. Reserve a cabana to serve as your home base for the day. Relax in the shade, keep an eye on your kids, and sip an umbrella drink from the Pakini Bar & Lounge. You can even order lunch to be delivered directly to your cabana from Yard House Waikiki or Giovanni Pastrami.

Tip #4: Sip Sunset Drinks and Avoid Splashes
When the sun starts to set, the kids can keep swimming, but you'll want to partake in the nightly complimentary evening reception. Sip mai tais (or juice!) and snack on light bites poolside while listening to live music (Thursday – Sunday only).

Tip #5: Put the Kids to Bed Early
There's no doubt your littles will be worn out from a day of sun, sand, surf and countless sandcastles! Tuck them in under the covers in the bedroom and retreat to your suite's living room to relax, watch the stars from your lanai, or catch up on your latest Netflix binge. Tomorrow's another beautiful day in paradise!
