WAIKIKI, HONOLULU, HAWAII – Fun flicks will be playing poolside this summer at Embassy Suites-Waikiki Beach Walk, starting with a showing of “Top Gun” on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 8 p.m. Open to the public, locals and island visitors are invited to kick off Independence Day weekend by jumping into red, white and blue inflatable rafts and watch the movie from inside the pool, or purchase a cocktail and hot dog to enjoy on one of the resort’s chaise lounges. (Seating is limited and on a space available basis.)

Playing on the resort’s Grand Lanai, the movie will be shown on a screen of grand proportion, 10 feet by 14 feet in size. Viewers can order a selection of cocktails and non-alcoholic drinks during the show, as well as an assortment of pupus (appetizers) from the poolside Pakini Bar.
